Dear Congregants and Friends,
We invite you to join us for two wonderful Shabbat services this weekend.
On Friday, we invite all children to join us for a great End-of-School-Year programme at Bet David, starting with a fun afternoon organised by Deborah in the youth centre (17h00),
followed by a prize-giving for our cheder students at the beginning of the Kabbalat Shabbat service (18h00) and more fun activities with Deborah.
We conclude the evening with a light Pizza supper after the service, kindly sponsored by Jason and Thalia Hoff.
On Saturday, our Shacharit service begins at 09h30 in the morning. The service includes the Bat Mitzvah of Jamie Jankelow and will be followed by a Brocha, kindly sponsored by Jamie’s parents, Matthew and Lana.
On Monday, 9 December – 19h00, Dr Taj Hargey, founder of the Open Mosque in Cape Town will give a lecture on Radicalism and Reform in contemporary Islam, titled “The battle for the hearts and minds of Muslims today”. We kindly ask you to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org for catering purposes.
Services will be held every Shabbat at 18.00 on Friday and 09.30 on Shabbat mornings. At this time of year, your presence as part of the congregation helps ensure a Minyan.
