The Days of Awe are the time to stand at the precipice of our souls, encouraged by the beautiful music, prayers and poems of our ancient tradition and gaze with sincerity at how we can repair our relationships and repair our own souls in the process. Let us join together this year with the intention of stepping through the gates to our soul as the joyful and affirming community we wish to be. Please refer to the schedule below for service times and venues.
To acknowledge both our diversity and the traditions that have been part of our community for years, we will be offering different services with specific focuses. We will be holding children’s services and activities parallel to the shul services. Parents can choose to either experience the holidays with their children or leave them in the capable hands of Kendyll Jacobson.
An Admission Ticket will be emailed to members in good standing. Kindly bring your ticket with you to services. You may be asked to show it to security officers at the gate and at the entrance to our Campus. Because security is particularly important, please have your ticket ready at the gate. Your friendly co-operation with the people in charge of access control will be appreciated.
Entry tickets for guests of Bet David members are available from the office. Arrangements for these tickets can be made with Diane at the Bet David office. (011 783 7117/8/9 or email firstname.lastname@example.org)
High Holy Day Creche
In order to make everyone feel welcome and accommodated over the High Holy Days we have organised for Patience (Justice’s wife) to run a crèche during the services for all kids younger than 3 years old. Patience is currently a teacher’s assistant as Jolly Dee’s Playshop and is very good with the babies.
We ask that you please bring enough snacks, formula as well as a camp cot or carrier for your children to be accommodated and comfortable.
You are more than welcome to pop in and out or leave the kids with Patience.

High Holy Day Appeal
As an exciting year is coming to its end, we looking forward to the new one, with ist manyfold oportunites and chances. For us personally, but also for our congregation. 5777 was a year of transition with the building of the new Synagogue and our campus, and we thank you all for standing firm at our side in these past few months. Many of the changes have only been possible because of the support we received from our congregants. We are very thankful for this, and we appeal to you to continue to contribute to the needs of Bet David, your congregation and those whom we assist throughout the year. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated. Please download the donation form for your contribution here. Toda Raba!
L’shanah tova tikateivu — I wish you a good and sweet new year, and I am looking forward to seeing you and your family soon.
