High Holy Days
Admission Tickets are being emailed to members in good standing. Kindly bring your ticket with you to services. You may be asked to show it to security officers at the gate and at the entrance to Bet David. As security is particularly important, please have your parking sticker visable in the wind-screen of your car. Your friendly co-operation with the people in charge of access control will be appreciated. If you miss your ticket, please contact the office. Please find the service schedule here.
Entry tickets for guests of Bet David members are available from the office for R350 each, while Visitors’ Tickets cost R600 each. Payment arrangements for these tickets can be made with Diane 011 783 7117 or email accounts@betdavid.org.za.
Please donate or lend any extra or unwanted copies of the High Holy Day “Gates of Repentance” prayer book to the office as we have no books in stock. Thank you.
High Holy Day Creche
In order to make everyone feel welcome and accommodated over the High Holy Days we have organised for Patience (Justice’s wife) to run a creche during the services for all kids younger than 3 years old. Patience is currently a teacher’s assistant as Jolly Dee’s Playshop and is very good with the babies.
We ask that you please bring enough snacks, formula as well as a camp cot or carrier for your children to be accommodated and comfortable. You are more than welcome to pop in and out or leave the kids with Patience.
High Holy Day Appeal
As an exciting year is coming to its end, we are looking forward to the new one, with its many opportunites and chances for us personally, but also for our congregation. 5777 was a year of transition with the building of the new Synagogue and our campus, and we thank you all for standing firm at our side in these past few months. Many of the changes have only been possible because of the support we received from our congregants. We are very thankful for this, and we appeal to you to continue to contribute to the needs of Bet David, your congregation and those whom we assist throughout the year. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated. Please see the attached donation form for your contribution. Toda Raba!
