December Services @ Bet David

In the next weeks, thingswill be a bit more quiet at Bet David, too, but nevertheless, services and some exciting activities will take place as usual. Don’t miss it out. At this time of year, your presence as part of the congregation helps insure a Minyan.

Saturday 17 December – 08.45 Torah Breakfast; 10.00 Shabbat Morning Service. Guest Rabbi Joshua Salter. Service will be followed by a b’rachah; No Youth service and activities (Kendyll away); 12.45 “Modern Jewish Philosophy” shiur with Brett Steingo

Friday 23 December – 18.00 Kabbalat Shabbat service; No Kids’ Club (Kendyll away)

Saturday 24 December – 08.45 Torah Breakfast; 10.00 Shabbat Morning Service followed by a b’rachah sponsored by Padraic and Carolina Churba-Doyle in honour of Samara’s birthday on 23.12; No Youth service and activities (Kendyll away); 12.45 “Modern Jewish Philosophy” shiur with Brett Steingo; EREV CHANUKAH – Light 1st candle tonight

Friday 30 December – 18.00 Kabbalat Shabbat service –No Kids’ Club (Kendyll away). Celebrate Chanukah with us on Friday 30 December. Bring your own Chanukiah to the service and 7 candles to join in lighting the Chanukah lights.

Saturday 31 December – 10.00 Shabbat Morning Service followed by a b’rachah; No Youth service and activities (Kendyll away); 7th Day Chanukah – Light 8thcandle tonight

Holiday B’rachot catering:Kehillah will be providing a basic b’rachah during the holiday season. If you would like to provide any extras, please bring a vegetarian/parev dish to share.

Office closure during holiday period—Bet David offices will be closed for the Public Holiday on Friday 16 December and for the holiday period from 23 December 2016 to 03 January 2017.
First Issue of AdKan for 2017 will be dated 12 January.
