De-Consecration of the old Shul

The development of the Bet David Campus is reaching an important milestone. We will soon be moving from our old buildings into the new ones.  This is a moment that will be marked by both the sad feeling of saying farewell to our much loved synagogue and also the exciting anticipation of our beautiful new facilities. To mark this step in a dignified and significant way, Bet David will bid farewell to the old Shul with a special weekend of activities, celebrations and a de-consecration service on 12 and 13 August. Please RSVP to admin2@betdavid.org.za if you wish to attend the congregational supper that will be held in the Rondavel after the Erev Shabbat service on 12 August.

Friday 12 August –     17.00 Family Activities;
18.00 Family Kabbalat Shabbat followed by a community supper in the Rondavel

Saturday 13 August – 08.30 Cheder; 08.45 Torah Breakfast with Rabbi Schell;
10.00 Festive Shabbat Morning Service including a de-consecration service of the old Synagogue, followed by a b’rachah sponsored by Bet David’s Kehillah
