Dear Congregants, and Friends
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Trevor Harold Egnal, Honorary Life President of Bet David, passed away this Monday morning. He was a much loved congregant and friend to us all, and he will be greatly missed.
Trevor was chairman of our congregation several times, he was the chairman of the Bet David Trust, and practically never missed a meeting of ManCom or any other meeting concerned with the future of the congregation. Trevor was an incredible supporter of Progressive Judaism and his passing is an incredible loss.
Trevor is survived by his wife Mimi, children Warren, Darryl, Ashley, Jason, Kevin, Bonnie, sister Barbara, grandchildren Cleo, Alaina, Zachary, Jenna and Megan. We join in wishing them a long life and strength at this very sad time.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday 27 August at 12h00 at West Park Cemetery. Prayers will be held Thursday and Sunday evening at 18h00 at 34 The Manor, 27 Centre Road, Morningside.
